Henly Cemetery


Located: Just west of the Hays County Line (inside Blanco County) on Hwy 290, 16 miles east of Johnson
City.  The Cemetery is 200 yards before the Perdernales Park turnoff.  The Cemetery is to the left of 290,
through a gate on a gravel road and .4 of a mile.  It has a wire fence around it and about 55 graves in 1984.

Note 1: Confederalte flag by stone,  Stone is in very bad condition. Ran Henly store and post office for Caudell family.  Married Mary Jane McCarty.  Children were: Curtis, Tom, Rosey Lee, Albert, Josie.   Martin was the first Commander of Camp McCollough.

Note 2: Married America Legrand, Children: Mollie Herwig, Annie (Julia Anne Herring) Herwig, John, Grover, Rhoda Herring Massey, Jessie Herring Collier.

Note 3:
on stone with Wayne. Funeral home  marker beside stone says Mrs. Nancy F.   Davis. Nancy Fairnetta Davis (nee  Trammell) was sister of Eli Trammell.  Children: Lonnie, Allen, Arnold plus 2 girls.

 The mother of Charles Griffin, b. 1854- d. 1938 was Mary Clements b. abt 1812/14 d. 1900.

Unmarked graves are the last children born to Cecil Griffin and his wife 1934. 

Jim Neal, dates not known, but was born sometime late 19th century.

Malone family stones are mounted in concrete slab 12 x 12.

Infant, no headstone, beside Della and James Shipp.
