Location:   Located on Fred Poenisch Ranch (1983)  Turn right at Little Blanco Inn off 281 (south)
onto Little Blanco Road.  After 1/2 mile turn right at Augie Jonas place.  At second house take
road north 1 1/2 mile in pasture; through gate and you are on Fred Poenish ranch.

His father is buried near Seguin, Texas.  August came to Twin sisters area in 1855.
Inscription on monument: "A precious one from us is gone; A voice we loved is stilled; A
place is vacant in our home; And never can be filled.
