Does anyone know who Robert G. BOYD b June 3,1841, d. March 9, 1924 and is buried at Lytton Springs cemetery in Caldwell County,Texas near Lockhart,Texas? He might be the father of George Andrew Boyd b August 6,1866 in Alabama and died in 1937 and is buried in the same cemetery along with his wife and two young children. This indeed might be his father because of the G. in his name as well as the name of Robert because George Andrew Boyd named his first child born in 1890, Robert. Thanks very much, Gwendalynn Gohlke Dunn. P.S. George Andrew Boyd was my great grandfather.

A gr-grandparent, Raymond Charnel WADE, born per federal census records in Alabama in 1861. He and wife Cartha Jean PIRKLE (c1867-c1949) raised eight children in Caldwell County near the city of Lockhart, seven of whom survived infancy. I have tracked all seven of Mr Wade's surviving children, as well as his wife, her sister and her parents. Mr Wade, however is the subject of a mystery. Reportedly one day in the Summer of 1912, Mr Wade left the fields of his farm to "buy tobacco". He was never seen or heard-from again. In other words, he simply disappeared. No body was reportedly ever found. I have not located him anywhere, and, at the age of 51 with five children still living at home, one aged just 7 at the time, I would doubt this man simply ran-off with somebody. There were no signs that this was coming according to a great-aunt (now deceased), who was the oldest still at home at the time (aged 22). In other words: everything was normal until he disappeared. Would there be any possibility of a County Sherrif's record for this man? I'd be most interested in any suggestions you may have. Many thanks in advance, David Matthew Baker
