Looking for a record of some kind on Adniram HALE. He was also known as Niram Hale. I think in his later years he went by Niram all the time. I need to prove that he was the son of Jonathan Hale and Eunice MOSHER. Jonathan b1762 in NH was the son of Dr/Col John Hale and his wife Elizabeth HALL a prominent figure in the American Revolution. Family records show that Niram was the son of Jonathan Hale but we have no proof. If you can help us, we would be so pleased and very grateful. Niram, incidentally is buried in Gonzales Co,TX where he died in July 1906 according to our records. He was in Caldwell Co until about 1859 when he moved to Gonzales Co. Thanks for any help. Joyce L. Need information about Valentin TALPIK who was living in Caldwell County in 1906. An emigrant, Frantisek Jon SOSOLIK, from Hvozdna, Moravia arrived in Galveston as port of entry on June 24 1906 and may have indicated he was going to Caldwell County to the residence of Mr. Talpik, his brother-in-law. I know nothing else but would like to be contacted by any descendants of the Mr. Talpik to see if they can furnish a connection between these two men. It is known that Frank Sosolik did go from Caldwell County to Weatherford, TX where he worked for a year to get enough money to send for his wife and child. Maria Josephine TAMANAK Sosolik did arrive in US with Galveston as a port of entry in 1907. The baby daughter had died at age four months before her mother left and was buried in Moravia which is now part of the Czech Republic. As a descendant of the Frank and Maria Sosolik family, we cannot place the Mr. Talpik as a brother-in-law. Unless there are Sosolik family members that we do not know about, Frank Sosolik only had one sister and we have her husband's name as Franktisek SKYBA. Maria Josephine Tomanak Sosolik did have two sisters but as far as we can determine they or their husbands never came to America and the Taplik name is not in our records. Please contact if you have even the slightest of clues. Respectfully, db; contact -- dbton@yahoo.com

I am doing research on the family of my mother, Bessie Lee WAY (Mrs. Adelphia Dane BOWEN, Sr.) of Friendswood, Texas. Her father (my grandfather) was William Mitchell Way. He had an older brother named Henry Burl Way. We are looking for Henry Way's descendants. Henry Burl (Burr) Way was born in Wilcox County, Alabama in 1856. He died on his ranch in Caldwell County, Texas in 1867. He was murdered from ambush (bushwhacked). He was shot to death. We do not know where he is buried. His wife was Elizabeth Cole Way. She died in 1950 and is buried in the Jeffrey Cemetery, one mile west of McMahan, Texas. They had a son James Leonard Way born in 1887 and a daughter Lule Alice (Sue) Way who died in 1951 and is also buried in the Jeffrey Cemetery. I have done much research on the Way family and have traced them all the way back to England in 1558. Also I have discovered that they are descended from two famous kings of England, Alfred the Great and William the Conqueror. I would very much like to share this information with the descendants of Henry Burl Way. If anyone knows his descendants, would you please ask them to contact me? My home telephone number is: 703-941-4435. Thank you very much for your kind assistance with my genealogical research. Sincerely, Dane Bowen

Looking for TANNER family information in early 1800's. Namely one Samuel T Tanner. In the 1850 census for Caldwell, there is a Sam with a father of Jonathan and other siblings. According to a tombstone in Blanco county, Sam there, and Sam in census, quite possible is the one and same. Wondering if anyone has any research they will share. So far, other than an occassional tid bit or two, we have hit a brickwall regarding this family, my wife's maternal side. As far back as we can definitely document is to Alonzo Tanner, and others, in Wimberly, Texas later on. Alonzo, Lon, was born in 1867 and we have the rest from there. In a book of Wimberly, we gleaned Lon's father as Sam...but no other clue other than minor tid bits. Chuck
