I would very much like to contact the descendants of John B. COLE, a farmer, who was born in Mississippi and living in Caldwell County, Precinct #6, Texas according to the 1900 United States Census. The Census record shows his wife, Mihalle, and two children, William Cole and Annie Cole. The census record also show that his daughter, Emily WAY, was living with him. She had the following children: Joe, Dora, Henry B. and Dovie. Her husband is not listed. I believe that Emily Cole Way may have been the wife of Henry Burr Way. Henry Burr Way was born in 1856 in Wilcox County, Alabama. He was bushwhacked and murdered (shot to death) in 1891, before April 1891 in Caldwell County, Texas. Henry Burr Way was the older brother of William Mitchell Way, my mother's father. My mother was Bessie Lee Way (Mrs. Adelphia Dane BOWEN, Sr.) She died in Stephenville, Texas in 1999. I have traced the Way family back to Henry Way who was born in Bridport, England in 1583. Also I have traced the Way family further back to the English Kings Alfred the great and William the Conqueror. I would very much like to share this information with the descendants of Henry Burr Way. Thank you very much for responding to my query. Sincerely, Dane Bowen, Alexandria, Virginia

Way was 25 years old, married, and had a four-year-old daughter, Betty Way. Mrs. Way was living in the home of her sister and brother-in-law, R. L. MARTIN. I believe that Mrs. J. N. He was bushwhacked and killed in Caldwell County in 1891, before April 4, 1891. For several years I have been doing research on the Way family. I have traced them back to Henry Way born 1583 in Bridport, England who went to Dorchester, Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1630. I have traced the Way family back further to British Kings William the Conqueror and Alfred the Great. I would like to share this information with the descendants of Mrs. J. N. Way. Any information on this family would be appreciated. Have journal kept by Frank's niece, Mary Belle Burnes, (according to family story, the family changed the spelling of Burns to add an "e" during the Civil War.--Frank appears to be the only one of the brothers that dropped the "e".), that describes visit of Frank's brother Robert Lee and Mary to Frank in 1907.
