Seeking info on LILES and BURNER families who lived in Luling around 1870-1875 (or before). Robert Raspus Liles was born in Luling on 3-19-1875 and died in Houston 6-22-1952. He married Willie Mae Burner (earlier spelling may have been Boerner) born 7-20-1884. Willie Mae's father may have been the (only) child of Georganna Owens and Charles Burner. Looking for more information on Elizabeth PHILLIPS who is listed in Hall Cemetery in Caldwell Co. born 1 September 1821 and died 14 September 1903. I am searching for information about a family in Lockhart, Caldwell County, Texas. Family name: WESTMORELAND. I knew the Westmorelands as Uncle Westy and Aunt Deen, though we were not related. Uncle Westy had a pharmacy. Aunt Deen (Roxadene sp?) was my grandmother's best friend, and I think she attended National Park Seminary with my grandmother in Silver Spring, Maryland in roughly 1923. I am researching Texas peace officers and corrections officers who have died in the line of duty. On 3 November 1906 convict guard W F CARR was shot and killed in Beaumont, Jefferson County, TX by a convict. The Beaumont Enterprise (4-5 November 1906) indicates Carr's father arrived from Lockhart, Caldwell County to make funeral arrangements. I am trying to determine if Carr's father transported the body to Caldwell County for burial. W F Carr was reported to have two children and his wife was reportedly dead. I would also like to try and locate any family members. Thanks, Ron DeLord -- www.pomf.org

I am looking for information regarding Leonard Martin STARCKE. He was born in Lockhart (Caldwell Co.) on 7/18/18 to Martin and Clara Anne KUEHN Starcke. After the death of his mother, we learned that Mr. Starcke is the biological father of my husband. My husband's name was changed early in his life to Greg ADAMS. His birth certificate reads Gregory Lynn Starcke. Because my husband was raised as an only child without a father (and no extended family from his mother's side), he is anxious to learn any information regarding the man who was his father and extended family. We are aware that his father is deceased as of 02/24/85, but that is it. We have no idea why he was not allowed to get to know his father or why his name was changed or if his parents were even married. Anything would be so appreciated! Pamela Adams
