Martha Ellen STANSELL was born near Luling, Texas on November 1, 1854. She
married Jeremiah Jeffrey COLE on June 15, 1870 near Luling, Texas. The wedding ceremony
was performed by Elder George Daniell. Jeremiah and Martha had 13 children; Alice m. D. E.
TANNER; Richard m. Mary Sulie JEFFERY; Albert m. Nora MILLS; Samuel O. m. Linnie
PAUL; Brigham m. Jennie FISHER; Benjamin Franklin m. Etta ISAACKS; Charlie m. Margie
BOOTH; Hyman m. Iva Lee WAMSOWER; Nellie Mae m. W. F. LAW; Robert m. Lydia
BAKER; Sarah m. Howard B. Isaacks. Martha Ellen Stansell died January 31, 1920 in
Williamson Co., TX and is buried in Gore Cemetery. This is all the information I have on my
gr-gr-grandmother and would appreciate any information on the Stansell family or other items of
interest about the family. Will share information I have on the Jeffrey and Cole families. Thanks

Looking for information on Herschell CULBERSON, believed to have lived in the
Caldwell/Bastrop County area in the early 1870s. All that is known about him is that he married
Virginia Nancy "Nanny" HEAD (daughter of William Thomas HEAD and Sarah CORBELL).
They had at least one child; a daughter named Ida Tommy Culberson (my grandmother) who
married William Henry CULPEPPER. Herschell is believed to have died in about 1879 at about
age 25 in Pilot Knob, Travis County, Texas.

Willing to exchange information with anyone researching the families of 1. William S.
CARPENTER, b. ca. 1805, who married Mary LONG, and 2. Albert Gallatin MAY, b. ca 1802,
who married Margaret CALDWELL. The May family moved from Illinois to Gonzales county
(later Caldwell county) during the early 1840's. The Carpenter family moved from Alabama to
Caldwell county in the early 1850's.

Looking for the maiden name of James J. CHAMBERLAIN's wife. Her name was Mary Maud
_________________. They show up in Caldwell County between 1890 and 1900. They had 4
children, all born in Texas: Oscar b.1889, Flora b.1895, Alton b.1899, and Dera b.1905. I am
trying to find Mauds maiden name. She was born in Texas. They do not appear on the Caldwell
county marriage records. She may have been from the Floresville area outside of San Antonio.

My ggrandftr, Andrew D. WHEATON, Jr. was born in Luling, Texas Dec 22, 1874 according to
his death cert. His parents are listed as Andrew D. Wheaton, Sr. and Nancy Ann SHELTON.
The only thing I have been able to locate is an A. Wheaton in the 1870 index for Gonzales Co.
According to family lore, both of Andrew Jr.'s parents died when he was very young. Do you
have access to cemetery & marriage indexes for those counties? I would really appreciate a

McLEMORE, Georgiana. Born to Joel McLemore and Rhoda ?. Joel born in North Carolina in
1782/3. Georgianna born 1829-1835 in Mississippi. Rhoda born in 1803/4 in Kentucky.
McLemores lived in Lockhart TX. Georgiana married Frank BROWN Jan 1 1856, likely in Austin
