Theodore & Nellie RITCHIE came from Ohio to Okla. and on to Tx. for work. They died in Tx. but were buried in Yale, Ok. Had I believe 9 children and I feel like their descendents are in Texas, Oklahoma or both. Theodore went by Win or Winifred, he was my mothers Uncle and she does not ever remember mention of him or his family. We are not settled in Ohio either like the other Ritchie's and would love to hear from anyone who may be related. Have record of one of his sons Lawrence Lloyd who died in 1976 and buried in Yale, Ok. A Kenneth William married to a Rosalind B. RUSSELL, his birthdate was 1921 Yale, Ok. I'm trying to determine where my g-g grandfather, George Washington LUMBLEY, was buried. The last census record that I have located with is name was the 1870 census for Caldwell County. That census shows him as Washington Lumbley. At that time, he would have been 75 years old. I would sure appreciate any information on my g-g grandfather. Thanks, Dave

Martindale & Sons Martindale General Store, Martindale Bank, Texas Farm Mortgage & Investment co., Martindale Mortgage co. I'm researching surname TATE. I came across this information on two marriages. Not sure on a connection to my tree; thought someone might connect and give a little insight on these Tate. The info. was in the marriage list for Caldwell County, Texas. The list taken from "Plum Creek Almanac" quarteries. The subscribers info. was from marriage records at Caldwell County Courthouse, Lockhart, Texas. Nathan BIRD and Mary Tate married 23 Aug 1873 in book C- D vol. 387. Mr. B. F. Tate and Miss Barbara GALLOWAY married 14 Apr 1881 in book F vol. 205 hope this helps someone and I could learn more.

Looking for info. on DIXON family in Caldwell Co. around Lytton Springs. The years are 1901 to about 1910. My father was born March 25, 1903 and his father was James (Jim) Dixon, mother was Clara Belle (WALTZ). Claras mother name was Mary LEATHERMAN, married to Lewis Waltz. WOLFE, John or JORANSY from Rutherford County, NC. Born about 1826-27 to Jacob Wolfe and Nancy McEntire Thompson in NC or May be in Texas. I'm not sure how he wound up in Texas. His father had at least one Cherokee parent. I found a John Wolfe in Fuqua Cemetery in Caldwell County that matches DOB. If anyone has any info on him please let me know. All I have is a picture of John with his brother Wm Cathey Wolfe and probably his 3 daughters standing behind them taken in NC on a visit back East. He was very old at the time. I am researching Daniel FULLER who was in Caldwell County on 1850 census and is possibly buried in Wells Cemetery. I am following the family through Daniel's son, E M. Believe that E M stands for Ezekiel Matthew or Madison. Research is proving that Daniel is probably a brother to Benjamin and Ezekiel Madison who were in the Caldwell County area. E M married Eliza DANIEL(S) 24 Oct 1869 in Caldwell. By 1880 E M and Eliza were in Erath County. Around 1883 or so E M and Eliza moved to Oklahoma. They can be placed in Hughes County, OK, near Calvin where a son, Grover, was born in 1892. My ggradnparents, Jesse Larkin JOHNSON and Lucy Cathareen DEARING Johnson lived in Gonzales around 1878. They had the following children as I know them: Claude, Eugneia Jesse b. 1878, George B., Will, Walter, Emma and Neville. Lucy Cathareen was born 6-26-1854 in Colombus, GA.
