KING in Caldwell Co., TX Ca 1878-9 William A. KING and Temperance Jane Reeves and their 7 children left northeast MS and moved to Caldwell Co. Those children were Jenny and husband L. L. J. ROBERTS, Henry Cannon, James Anderson, John Franklin, William Edward, Thomas Jefferson, and Luda L. In Dec of 1879, they had twins, George Washington and Rosa Belle. By 1890 they had moved to Oklahoma in the Murry Co. area. There is a possibility that Tempa and her daughters Luda and Rosa Belle died in Caldwell Co. and that William A. had married a COX also in Caldwell Co. Is anyone researching this family? I am searching for information on the parents and siblings of my gg-grandparents, Reuben H. BREWER and Mary Jane CROCKETT Adams BREWER. Reuben was born in South Carolina on June 11, 1819. At some point in time, he relocated to Mt. Meigs, Alabama. There he married Mary Jane CROCKETT Adams, widow of John ADAMS, on April 12, 1845. Reuben died on August 25, 1881, in Mt. Meigs, Alabama. Mary Jane, who was born on July 11, 1819, in South Carolina, then moved to Lytton Springs in Caldwell County, Texas, to live with her son, Dr. John Campbell BREWER. She later moved to Dallas where her older son, Samuel Green BREWER, and her youngest daughter, Ferralia Ella Brewer HARRY were living. She died at the home of her daughter in Dallas on February 3, 1887. Dr. John Campbell BREWER, the second child of Reuben and Mary Jane, married Margaret Louise CARDWELL in 1877. They lived in Lytton Springs where he practiced medicine from 1875 until his death in 1920.

Researching the following lines: Jacob Robert TALLY b. 1844 in Alabama. Migrated with is family (parents & siblings) to Texas. He and brother, Frederick H. enlisted in Co. T 4th Cav. Tex. Conf. for the war at Caldwell, Texas. He owned a cotton gin in Red Rock which he sold to Lockhart Oil Company for $3,000 in 1899. Jacob married (1) Susan A. STONE, granddaughter of Jacob & Susan SORRELL. she died in 1867. He then married Mary Ann MORAIN(E), my 2ggmother. They had 12 children: Birdie Angeline who married Cornelius HANSFORD, David Marion (lived in Comanche), Daniel Val. (he lived in Tyler), Robert Bruce, Henry, Harvey, Ada M., who married Pole HEMPHILL (she lived in Lockhart in 1939), Sarah Alice, Laura Mae, Emma Elizabeth, Sally who married ____BRYAN (she lived in Kennedy and owned a bar there) and Edward. Jacob Robert died in 1903 and is buried in Old Red Rock Cemetery in Red Rock, Texas. Mary Ann remarried after his death J.S. AWALT in Bastrop county. I believe she may be buried in the same cemetery. Frederick, Jacob's brother, married Nancy Jane HEMPHILL. They are both buried in the same cemetery. Jacob' father, Matthew TALLY also migrated to Texas and is buried in Lee county in an unmarked grave. Jacob's mother, Angeline HENDRICKS TALLY also died in Texas and is buried in the Wells cemetery in Caldwell county. Some of her family migrated with them as well. Her parents were: Frederick HENDRICKS and Rebecca A.E. CAMPBELL. The only other child I know for sure they had besides Jacob Robert and Frederick H. was William Pierce. He married 1880 to Garnett SORRELL. He too is buried in the Old Red Rock Cemetery. Any and all information would be appreciated and I will gladly share what I have.
