Whispers from the Past

Around 1890 Charlie and Maggie Bradley lived in the 'Atwell area' of Callahan County. Recently, granddaughter Cathy Bradley found some interesting material among some papers left by her grandmother. These papers are on ruled paper and were apparantely written by some of the younger school children attending Atwell school. This material is undated but is thought to be circa 1914. There has been no attempt to correct the spelling or grammar. I hope you enjoy these few tidbits from the past and we are all grateful to Cathy for making the material available.
