Sophia Brown, 82, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Wednesday, Nov 13, 2013. Service: Prayer service at 6 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside service at 2 p.m. Sunday in Rose Hill Cemetery, Pittsburg.

Sophia was very involved in the White Settlement community where she had lived for over 60 years. She was past president of the PTA and had been a librarian for a time. She was also active in the American Cancer Society. She leaves many friends in the community.

Sophia was preceded in death by her son, Norman Brown. 

Survivors: Husband of 61 years, George E. Brown; son Glenn Brown and wife Bonnie; daughter Lesley Sebastian and husband Michael; grandchildren Kristine and Aaron Brown, Amber and Jacob Brown; and Alex and Stephen Sebastian; sister Margaret Bradshaw, and many nieces and nephews.
