Funeral Services for Martin Brummell. 70, father of Gene Brummell of Decatur, were held in Pittsburg, Texas, Friday afternoon. A group of Decatur people attended the services. 

Mr. Brummell was found dead Wednesday afternoon last, in the barn at his home 2 miles from Pittsburg. It is thought he was killed around 11 a. m. Wednesday after he drove into his barn to unhitch a team of mules. 

The body was discovered about six hours later by a neighbor. Robbery obviously was the motive as Brummell's pockets had been ripped open and his purse with an estimated $250, was missing. Brummell was known to have carried large sums of money on him. 

He was deaf.
