CAMP COUNTY - MYRTLE SPRINGS CEMETERY


WINNSBORO - Services for Roy Dee Duffey, 90, Winnsboro, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday at Mount Lebanon CME Church with Bro. Michael Rush and the Revs. Keith Thomas, Craig Duffey and Rickey Abraham officiating.

Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Leesburg, under direction of Beaty Funeral Home, Winnsboro.

Mr. Duffey died July 9, 2008, in a local nursing home.

He was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Camp County to the late Jerry and Angeline Jennings Duffey. He attended Myrtle Springs School in Pittsburg, and retired from the city of Des Moines after 40 years service. He was a longtime member of the CME Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Birdine Duffey.

Survivors include stepson, Eddie Jones; brothers, Nathaniel Duffey, Pittsburg, and Billy Cummings, Richmond, Calif.; sisters, Katie Mae Owens, Dallas, and Gussie Mae Johnson, Garrison; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
