CAMP COUNTY - ROSE HILL CEMETERY - M SECTION PITTSBURG - Services for Brenda Ann Maddox Hachtel Maxwell, 57, of Pittsburg, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2007, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg, with the Rev. Richard Heyduck officiating. Private graveside services will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery of Pittsburg. Ms. Maxwell was born October 18, 1949, in Pittsburg, and she passed away on Monday, September 17, 2007, at Pittsburg Nursing Center in Pittsburg. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1968. Ms. Maxwell continued her education at North Texas State University, where she was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She owned and operated Maxwell Oil, Gas and Realty in Jacksboro, Texas. Ms. Maxwell was a member of the United Methodist Church in Jacksboro, Texas, where she was a youth Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg. Her greatest love was her son, Chris; and most recently her grandson, Jacob. She was a very loving and caring mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She never met a stranger. Ms. Maxwell was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Murray Maddox Sr. and Imogene Reed Maddox; maternal grandparents, Carl and Stella Reed; and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Maddox. She is survived by her one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Glynn Hachtel and Monica Hachtel of Kilgore; nephews, Miles and McCall Maddox; niece and her husband, Misty and Gary Roberts; niece, Megan Reeves; great-niece, Chelsea Roberts; one grandchild, Jacob Glynn Hachtel of Kilgore; one brother, Robert 'Bob' Murray Maddox Jr. and wife, Roxanna Maddox of Jacksboro, Texas; two sisters, Janet Diane Maddox Reeves of Gilmer, and Julia Reed Maddox Henson and husband, Nick D. Henson of Kilgore; and numerous cousins and friends.
