PITTSBURG – William Bertrand Peterson, 72, of Pittsburg died 
Sunday, August 5, 2012. Services will be held at 10 a.m. 
Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel 
with Bro. Duane Turner officiating. 

Pallbearers are Neal O'Quinn, Tommy Johns, Randy Henderson, John 
McNutt, Paul Peterson, and Mark Rozell. Interment will follow at 
Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Peterson was born June 2, 1940 to Ira B. Peterson and Verna 
V. Beckham Peterson. He served in the United States Army as a 
medic stationed in Germany during the 1960's. He was a member of 
Ebenezer Friendship Baptist Church in Camp County and worked in 
the retail grocery business in Dallas for 45 years before retiring 
and moving back to the family place in Pittsburg.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Johnny W. and 
Judy Peterson of League City; uncle, Joe Beckham of Dallas; niece, 
Angie Rozell of League City; and nephew, Paul Peterson of Irving.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
