LINDEN CEMETERY - CA 1908

Courtesy of James E. Skelton

After seeing the pictures on the web, I let some Givens descendants know about the pictures and how to view them and I have had a response from a distant cousin in Colorado this morning. The woman identified in the picture as Ann Virginia Givens Logwood was a sister of my grandmother, Nancy Caroline (Jeffie) Givens Kasling. So it is likely that my Kasling grandparents and my Mother are in the picture, but I can not identify them. Thought you might like to have the following identification for the picture. It comes from Glenda Thomasson of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

"Jim--

Thanks for the note. The cemetery picture you have on the web is either the unveiling of the gravestone or the funeral for my great-grandfather, Thomas Edward Logwood. He died 29 April 1904, in Linden, Texas. The family in front of the grave are (probably) left to right: Opal Pauline Logwood, Eva Logwood Kelly, Alvis Owen Kelly (small child), Mary Edna Logwood Lovelady, and the widow Ann Virginia (Givens) Logwood. The four men on the right more than likely include: Arthur Lutwell Kelly (husband of Eva), James Orville Logwood, Henry Scott Lovelady (husband of Mary), and Givens Logwood, but I have no idea who is who. Do you have any clarification on who is who in that picture?

Thanks.
Glenda"
