Only one identified grave of John H. Hill but other graves are known to be there. Some graves were moved to the newer Pruitt Lake Cemetery years ago.

The church and community were once called "Bug Scuffle."

Cass County Sun December 24, 1936 Mr. John Hill of near Avinger, age 82 years, died Sunday morning and was buried Monday in Pruitt Lake Cemetery.
