Popular Young Couple Wed

The wedding of Miss Mildred Sain, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. D. L. Sain, to Elwyn Glass, son of Mr. And Mrs. A. L. Glass was solemnized Sunday afternoon, June 7, at the Baptist parsonage. The Reverend Mr. Roy Collom, the bride's pastor, performed the ring ceremony in a very impressive manner in the presence of a small group of friends and relatives.

Douzaine Club Meets

Mrs. R.M. Kasling entertained the Douzaine Club, May 28th in a special meeting to bid farewell to Mrs. Eugene Traylor who is soon to leave our city.
….luncheon was served to our twelve members and an invited guest, Mrs. Audrey Reeder…..

Miss Carrie Stewart who has been teaching in Commerce is at home for the summer.

Miss George Edna Williams who has been teaching in Liberty, is at home for the summer, she came by Denton where she attended the commencement of C.I.A. she being one of the graduates.

H. J. Cook, wife and son Iri of Dallas are visitors here this week.

G. A. Wimberly of Beaumont and B. J. McMillian Jr., of Port Arthur, visited in the B. J. McMillian home Friday to Sunday. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Wimberly.

Mrs. S. A. Mayfield is visiting Mrs. Marc Collier in Chicago.

Eugene Hervey and Lennox Truitt were in Denton, Sunday and Mondy, they were accompanied home by Mrs. Eugene Hervey and Bob Holland Truitt.

G.R. Brazzle and family of Marshall visited C. C. Hargiss and wife Sunday, Mrs. C. E. Hargiss returned here with them.

Mrs. J. D. Morgan of Memphis, Tenn., is visiting her parents H. C. Abernathy and wife.

Mrs. Geo W. Morse of Linden, visited H. C. Abernathy and wife Tuesday.

Mrs. D. L. Sain and children visited Mr. Sain in Pittsburg this week.

G. F. Rowe and family of Como, C. L. Rowe and wife of Cumby, visited R. L. Row Saturday and Sunday.

Mr. And Mrs. Richkie of Longview visited in the home of G. D. Grainger and wife this week. They were accompanied home by Mrs. Richkie father Tobe Henry who has been visiting in the Grainger home.

Mrs. J. C. Bailey and children and Miss Lucille Rosson visited their parents J. A. Rosson and wife in Kemp the past weekend.

Garrison-Harrell
On June 3. Miss Ouida Harrel, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. M. A. Harrell of Cross Roads, became the bride of Mr. Houston Garrison of Atlanta.
This young couple are two of Cass County's successful teachers. Last year they were members of the Cross Roads faculty.
Immediately after the ceremony they departed fro Commerce where they will attend the summer session of East Texas Teachers College.
They have many friends who extend congratulations and best wishes for prosperity and happiness.

Cecil Pratt of Daingerfield was a visitor here Tuesday.

W. W. Dees of Harlingen State Bank Examiner is visiting his parents W. M. Dees and wife.

To The Sheriff or Any Constables of Cass County-Greeting: You are hereby commanded to summon Oscar Ship whos residence is unknown to appear at the next regular term of the Justice Court for Precinct No 7….….wherein Jerry Davis is Plaintiff and Oscar Ship et al, are defendants…..A truck owned by the defendant, Oscar Ship negligently and carelessly ran over and killed a cow belonging to the plaintiff of the value of $100.00; that the said truck was being driven by one U. L. Williamson, agent for the defendant, Oscar Ship, and was being driven at a high and dangerous rate of speed, and while plaintiff was driving his cow up the highway about 1 mile east of Atlanta, Cass County, Texas, the plaintiff's agent negligently and carelessly ran into said cow and killed her, to the plaintiff's damage in the sum of $100.00……
