Obituary for Rosie Mae Boyd

Rosie Mae Boyd was born September 8, 1928 in Naples, Texas to James G. Boyd and Dora Hill and passed away February 19, 2016 at 87 years of age. 

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; one sister, Melvin Hannah; and one brother, James H. Boyd. 

Relatives who will lovingly cherish her memory include twelve sons, Earl Whetstone of Dallas, Billy Boyd of Omaha, Marion Boyd of Naples, Charles Boyd (Billie) of Naples, Kerry Boyd (Lisa) of Naples, Cleophas Boyd of Naples, Bryan Boyd (Kay) of Dallas, Steven Boyd (Kim) of Dallas, Randy Boyd of Naples, James Boyd of Dallas, Michael Boyd of Naples, and Anthony Boyd of Naples; three daughters, Sherry Reeves (Joe) of Gilmer, Claudia Palmer (Eddie) of Dallas, and Angelina Bowmen of Austin; one brother, Grady Boyd of Dallas; one sister, Otha Faye Macintyre of Dallas; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs, with Bro. R. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Boyd Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. 

There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
