CASS COUNTY - CORINTH CEMETERY


LINDEN - Services for Winford Truett "Bill" Beard, 76, of Linden, will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 9, 2011, at Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home Chapel, with Bros. Jerry McKellar and Ed Lawless officiating. Interment will be in Corinth Cemetery. 

Mr. Beard died May 5, 2011, at a Texarkana hospital.

Born January 10, 1935, in Linden, he retired from the U.S. Navy, having served in Korea and Vietnam, and was a Baptist. 

Survivors include his wife, LaVern Beard; son, Winford Beard; daughter, Barbara Thompson; brotherts, C.L. Beard and Jeral Beard; and sisters, Dean Lefler and Nell Duck. 

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. today, May 8, 2011, at the funeral home.
