CASS COUNTY - CASS CEMETERY Ken McClure, 55, left his earthly body to join his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 17, 2015, after a recurrent battle with cancer. He was lovingly surrounded by his family during his transition, and his arrival was undoubtedly met with celebration by dear friends and family, including his mom and dad and Joe Pat Powell. Ken was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, on July 23, 1960, to Chester and Frances McClure. Ken grew up in Atlanta, Texas, and was an avid supporter of the Atlanta Rabbits, Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. He loved spending time as a ham radio operator, flying planes, riding motorcycles, and most of all, enjoying his family. Ken was the Owner of The Vapin Place, a member of First Baptist Church – Atlanta, and a proud member of the Patriot Guard. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Kay McClure, and by four sons, Jamie Barnes and Christy of Atlanta; Joey Barnes and Christy of Queen City; John McClure and Aly of Beaumont; Will McClure and Katie of Texarkana; a sister, Lisa McClure Johnson and Mike of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Kyler Clayton, Taylor Barnes, Elizabeth "Kiki" McClure, Kaydence Chamblee, Alysha McClure, Rhyder Barnes, Mila Barnes, and Maverick McClure. He is also survived by his in-laws, Willie Odell and Robbie Endsley of Cass, Texas, and many other family members and special friends. The memorial service will be at 10:00 am on Monday, September 21, 2015, at Hanner Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 6pm to 8pm at Hanner Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Cass Cemetery.
