CASS COUNTY - DENNIS CEMETERY


Minnie McIntire, age 95, passed away on January 29, 2015 in De Berry, Texas from a brief illness. Minnie was a longtime resident of Atlanta, Texas, from 1952 until 2012, where she then resided with her daughter for health reasons. She was one of eleven children that were born to Andrew Jackson and Martha Jane Bufford Long in the Crossroads Community near Hughes Springs, Texas. Minnie was a member of West Side Baptist Church in Atlanta, Texas; was a homemaker; and a very loving mother and grandmother. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John F. McIntire; her parents; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Minnard (Dolly), Rice (Polly), L.V.(Anna Mae), A.J. (Alice), Pete (Ora Bell), and John Bufford Long; four sisters, Mary Long Tindol (Ford), Letha W. Long, Lena and Mozel Long. 

She is survived by her two children, four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Monday, February 2, 2015, at the Hanner Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Jim Howard officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, 2015, from 2 pm to 4 pm, at Hanner Funeral Service. Interment will be in Dennis Cemetery, Cass County, Texas.
