CASS COUNTY - ATLANTA CITY CEMETERY The Lamar County Echo, December 1979. 'Mrs. E. B. Russell, 84, of 200 SE 13th, Apt. 17, died Monday, December 3, 1979, in a local hospital. Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon at Atlanta City Cemetery in Atlanta. Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Bess Pepper Russell was born November15, 1895, daughter of Jim Pepper and Inie McClung Pepper. She taught school in Blossom and Roxton prior to her marriage in 1920 to E. B. Russell. She and her husband moved to Oklahoma City in 1926 where they operated a real estate business for approximately 50 years. They moved back to Paris in 1976. Mrs. Russell was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, Earl B. Russell of Paris; three sisters, Mrs. Francis Moore of Shreveport and Mrs. John Chesser and Mrs. Elmer Fortner, both of Atlanta; and several nieces, including Mrs. Bill Amis and Ms. Paul Murphy, both of Paris and Mrs. Terry Miller of Antlers, Oklahoma'.
