CASS COUNTY - DENNIS CEMETERY


Juanita Lillie "Babe" Smith, 83, a dedicated homemaker, passed away Monday, Jan. 6, 2009, at a local care center.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Hurst, 1801 Norwood Drive. The Rev. Dr. Jeff Burnett will officiate. 

Interment: Following a 2:30 p.m. committal service, Juanita "Babe" will be laid to rest with her husband, T.B. "Big Red" Smith, in Dennis Cemetery in Hughes Springs. 

Visitation: Juanita will lie in state Thursday afternoon at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, in Hurst, with the family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m.

Juanita Lillie Bean Smith was born Oct. 6, 1925, to Sippie Oren and Lillie Myrtle Duren Bean in Hughes Springs. 
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, T.B. "Big Red" Smith, in December 2001.

Survivors: Daughter, Wynette Dixon and her husband, Leland; son, Brooks Smith and his wife, Sherri; grandchildren, Lori, Jamie, Georgia, Kathryn and Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Conner, Gabriel and Cody.
