WILLIAM CAPERTON

HUGHES SPRINGS, Texas-William Ray Caperton, 69, of Hughes Springs died Sunday, March 20, 2005, in a 
Linden, Texas, hospital.

Mr. Caperton was born July 5, 1935, in Hughes Springs. He was retired from Lone Star Steel, a city councilman, 
a member of Missionary Baptist Church and Hughes Springs Ambulance Service and a former Hughes Springs 
fire chief.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Lee Caperton of Hughes Springs; two sons and one daughter-in-law, David 
and Kitsy Caperton of Forney, Texas, and Kenneth "Sput" Caperton of Hughes Springs; two daughters and 
sons-in-law, Brenda and Mike Nix and Tina and Terry Immel of Hughes Springs; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Neeley officiating. Burial will be in 
Sardis Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.
