HENRIETTA Texas - Willie Mayo Helm, 88, of Petrolia, Texas, died Wednesday August 5, 1998, in a Henrietta nursing home.

Services will be at 10 am Friday at the First Baptist Church in Petrolia.  Burial will be in Petrolia Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.

Mrs. helm was born June 23,1910 in Montague County, Texas.  She and Elmer Helm were married Dec. 9, 1933 in Walters, Okla. He died April 3, 1995.  She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Petrolia, where she was a Sunday School teacher.  In 1986 she was a duchess for the Clay County Pioneer Reunion.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Dillard of Petrolia; a son, Philip of Petrolia; two sisters, Nova Mayo of Petrolia and Veda Black of Waco, Texas; two brothers,, Mutt Mayo and Jiggs Mayo, both of Petrolia; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Petrolia Cemetery Association.
