Clay County, TXGenWeb Project  This picture is of Sampson Looney Stewart taken between 1900 -1930 in Charlie, Texas. In it are Sampson Looney standing on left side with what to appears to be wearing Sun Glasses. I really only can identify three person's in this picture and I get two of them mixed up. His son Cam is wearing glasses and is holding on to a bush or a tree. Tram, or my grandfather, John is on the right side wearing a tie that is blown across to his right side I get those two mixed up holding his hat and possibly Robert and John again a mix up to me standing behind Cam. His Son's were Campbell (Cam) Stewart married a McKinney from Wichita Co., TX. Trammel Stewart married a Copher from Charlie. Robert (Bob) and my Grandfather John married daughters of John Meyer's from Charlie, Texas. Sampson's daughters which were there and some of these could be their husband's 1st Rebecca Susan Stewart married a Talley from Murray Co., Ga. 2nd Pauline Stewart actually married a 1st cousin which was a Sebastian from Dallas Co., Texas. Georgia Stewart married a William's from Wichita Co., Texas. So any combination of these men could be one of the their plus Grandson's... Submitted by Terry Stewart |
