We have recently found that two children that we thought were McDaniel children are actually Williams children, the children of Jasper N. Williams and Sarah Locky Haile of Cooke County. (She married second John Cass McDaniel and had three children with him.) We have been able to track the son, Marion Smithly Williams b. 1869 in Cooke County, TX. We are having GREAT difficulty finding information on the daughter, Mary Williams, b. about 1873. We did find a marriage record in Cooke County for a Mary Williams and John Burke/Burks in 1894. We do not know for sure this is "our" Mary AND we have been totally unable to track this couple in a census record or in any other way. Does anyone have a burial record, family information, ANYTHING on this couple? On Mary Williams? Any and all help will be appreciated! Pat Kinsey

I have a photo of my father in a uniform that has COC on the collar. It is a black and white photo and the uniform appears to have been black. Daddy played the coronet and I believe this to be a picture of him in a Chamber of Commerce Band uniform. Does anyone have any information on a Chamber of Commerce band having been in existence in Gainesville in 1923-1928? I also have a photograph of my father in a AT&SF (Santa Fe Railroad) band on a flat bed truck in front or near the Santa Fe Station Depot, I believe in Gainesville. Can anyone give me any information on the Santa Fe band in Gainesville about 1923-1928?
