Buster Gene Pendleton
Obituary

Buster Gene Pendleton, 71, a resident of Burkburnett, Texas, for 30 years, died Feb. 6, 2004, in Wichita Falls, Texas, following a long illness. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11 at First Baptist Church in Crane, Texas. Ownes & Brumley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born in Cisco, Texas, July 31, 1932 and graduated from Crane High School in 1951. He attended Texas Tech and received an associates degree in Electronics from Odessa College, Odessa, Texas. He married Golda Waleska Avent on July 7, 1951 in Crane. He joined the Crane Masonic Lodge in 1953 and was a member of the Burkburnett Masonic Lodge. He was a past Worthy Patron of OES Chapter 655 and was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and caretaker and never met a stranger. He was an avid reader, hunter and fisherman and loved music.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buster Pendleton and his mother, Bertha Lee Rust Pendleton of Eunice, New Mexico; sister, Carol Patterson and brother-in-law, Charles Patterson, of Hobbs, New Mexico; and one grandson, Russell "Rusty" Gene Pendleton of Midland, Texas.
