Bettye Williams Roberts
Obituary
Bettye Williams Roberts, of Midland, went to be with
her Lord, Tuesday, June 1, 2004.
She was a life long member of The Tabernacle Baptist
Church in Crane, Texas. She was born May 29, 1927 to
Herman Bethel Williams and Bonnie Satterwhite Williams in
rural Stephens County and was raised and educated in
Crane, Texas. On May 4, 1948 she married Roy Wilson
Roberts in Odessa, Texas. Bettye was a member of the 710
Club. She was preceded in death by her parents and her
husband, Roy Roberts.
Bettye is survived by her children, Mike Roberts and his
wife, Becky, of Midland, TX; Patricia Sutton of Midland,
TX; Joe Dan Roberts and his wife, Jocelyn, of Fort
Collins, CO; twelve grandchildren, three
great-granddaughters, Amanda, Shanda and Alisha, two
great-grandsons, Brandon and Deven.
The family will receive friends at Ellis Funeral Home,
Friday, June 4, 2004 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and
8:00 p.m.
Graveside services have been scheduled for 9:00 a.m.
Saturday, June 5, 2004 at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral
Home.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Sherrye
Lee Hannick, Phillip Roberts, David Michael Roberts,
Karin Haun, Roy Dan Dismuke, Samantha Roberts, Nickolas
Roberts, Duke Roberts, Matt Roberts, Stephen Roberts,
Seth Roberts, Christian Roberts and Michael Shane
Bilbrey.
Memorials may be directed to Billy Graham Evangelistic
Association, 1 Billy Graham Parkway, Charlotte, North
