Andrew KENT was one of the immortal 32 from Gonzales who died at the Alamo, 6 March 1836.

I am seeking information on Felix Turner DUKE who was born in Comfort Texas on 10/29/1856 and who died in DeWitt County on 3/28/28. According to the death certificated, he was buried in Edgar. I think I found the community on the road to Yoakum but I couldn't find a cemetary. Any help would be appreciated.

Seeking information on AMASON/AMERSON/AMIS families who were in Milam County for the 1870 census. Known brothers, William T. AMASON and wife: Elizabeth PAIR and C. O. (Christopher Oliver) AMASON and wife:Caroline (Collie) LEWIS are adjacent in the 1870 Milam Co. census. The third brother, Stanley AMASON, is living with the C.O. AMASON family. By 1880, Christopher's family is in Stephens Co. TX. William T. AMASON's family is supposed to be in DeWitt Co. but at this time we still have not been able to locate him in 1880. In 1900 census the family is in DeWitt Co. TX. William T. Amason/Elizabeth Pair had known children:Laura (age 8 in 1870, b. in AL), Susie (age 2 in 1870, b.in AL), William Claiborne (b. abt 1872,in TX) and Ella (b.? in TX), who married J. W. TERRY. There are 5 other female children of this marriage. Any information on this family would be helpful. Occasionally the surname is found as EMERSON.

Seeking info. about Jasper/Joseph GILBERT married Elvira LOCKHART, daughter of Andrew LOCKHART, in Colo. Co, Tx 6/29/1837. JAsper GILBERT had original land grant in Colo CO in 1838 but I believe with the moving of Lockhart to Dewitt, they also followed. Have Jasper L. Gilbert there in Dewitt Co in 1850 census but lose him. Would appreciate any info about these families.
