GILBERT 1840 and 1842. Pleasant Lee GILBERT married Buthena FURGUSON 1860 in Clinton, Dewitt Co, TX. They had Susan Elvira GILBERT ,Feb 25, 1861 at Cuero, Tx; Jasper Louis, MArch 13, 1862; Lee Haden, Feb 1864; and Pleasant Joseph, 1866, all born in Dewitt Co, TX. Buthena GILBERT remarried a J.W. I am looking for info on Charles EISENHUTH and Mary Theresa KARM ( daughter of ANton KARM). They were living in Cuero, DeWitt Co in 1895 through 1900. They had the following children: Annie,b 1895 , Cuero; Johnnie,b. 1896, Cuero; Theresa,b. 1900, Cuero;Charlie,b. 1904, San Angelo but living with mother in Cuero in 1915;Fritz,b. 1906 in San Angelo but living with mother in 1915. They were divorced before 1910 and Theresa moved to Houston and married Adam ZUSPANN. She died in 1937 and was buried at Cuero. Annie died in 1918; buried Cuero. Johnnie, Theresa(RYAN) and Charlie moved to Houston. Johnnie and Charlie are buried there. My great grandmother is Charles Eisenhuth's second wife from Cibola. I do not know what happened to Fritz or Theresa. I am curious to why they divorced. Any help or info would be appreciated.

Looking for: MONK, Alfre Frederick,b. 1 Dec 1852, London, England; was naturalized in DeWitt Co., Tx 13 Mar 1922. From this record I learned his birthdate and ordered a copy of the birth register in the Civil Teg. records in England. It showed his parent's names, their exact residence address, father's occupation, number of children born to mother and how many were living at that time. Alfred marr. Leona Sophronia WIGGINS,ca 1878 somewhere in TX. She had resided in Leon, Freestone Cos before marriage. After marriage she and Alfred and family are enumerated on the census; 1880 Robertson, 1900 Lavaca, 1910 Montgomery and 1920 DeWitt. They were said to have owned/worked in a beer brewery. The 1910 & 1920 census shows that ALfred managed a Pool Hall. Their known children born 1871-1893 : Annie, Emily, Edward, Albert, Lonie, and Roy. Have info to share about this couple's ancestry, but know little about the children and have but one blurry photo of Leona and her brother Tom taken ca 1915. Would like to exchange info and obtain photos of this family.

They came into this area and settled in Yoakum and surrounding towns. They also were involved in the Cotton Ginning business in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Other names associated with these HILLMANNS were: FRELS, WADE, STEPHENSON, EILERS, COLLE. Any help would be appreciated. I have much info to share and would like to learn more.

Would love to hear from anyone concerning a good friend Ralph A. WEISE who attended Texas A&M; with me in the 50's and 60's. He probably graduated in '62. Understand that he took his own life in some jail by hanging. Was employed as a teacher somewhere, probably in science of some kind. Rumor says that he was jailed for selling drugs. Born probably in '39. His hometown was Yorktown.Any info would be appreciated.

They were: Eliza Ann ANDERSON/m/ William Andrew KENT; Mattie Ann ANDERSON/m/Thomas Jefferson ASHER; Charity ANDERSON/m/Arthur HOWE, Marshall THOMAS; Henry Ithamer ANDERSON/m/Callie Elizabeth CHILDRESS( Henry was my grandfather); William Johnson ANDERSON/m/Bennie Lee ROBERTS. Any info would be really useful. I am wanting to find out who Christopher Columbus ANDERSON's parents were and his siblings. Christopher was born on May 24, 1844 in Hinds Co,Jackson MS. I have in my possession, a box full of old Photos. These photos are from, I estimate , the early 1900's. They are on thick cardboard, some are made into post cards. A studio in Cuero made most of them. I would like to try and put some names with these faces. Alot of them are wedding photos, confirmation photos and just portraits. The surnames could range from KORNFUHRER, MILLER, SCHUBERT, WEBB and would have resided in Cuero, Meyersville, Raisin, Coletoville, Victoria, Germantown and surrounding area. They were farmers and ranchers. I even have an old photo of an old school band. Thanks.

They came from ALA before 1827 to TX. They are listed on the 1850 census for Lavaca Co, Tx and 1860 Goliad Co, Tx census. Their son, Hamilton BIDDY mar. Elizabeth WILLIAMS in Dewitt Co, Tx about 1854. Elizabeth is known to have a sister Polly WILLIAMS who mar. James Monroe BIDDY, brother to Hamilton BIDDY. Elizabeth ,b. 1841 MO, believe to be the daughter of William WILLIAMS, and wife Melvina SCHOONOVER, she is also listed as Malinda. Thanks.

His parents sied and believed to be buried at Burns Cemetery, DeWitt Co. He was later taken in by the HENSLEY family. I am looking for info on James W. ROBINSON and Pauline Almyra TEAS. I believe that she was his second wife. They had two children, Franklin,b 1861 and died as a young man, exact date unknown. John Hugh ROBINSON was b. 9 Jan 1863 and married Carrie Mae DARDEN. PAuline died 2 Feb 1863. James came home from the war to give her a proper burial, but I have been unable to find anything to indicate that he served in the service or with what unit. Hannah WATKINS is shown on the DeWitt Co census, in Tx index for 1870. She is shown as Head of the Household on page 216 of this census. Believe this to be my ggrandmother, who was married to Ledia W. WATKINS. The youngest daughter of Mary Louisa , b. 8-10-1857 and would be about age 13 on this census.Mary Louisa WATKINS married on about June 1865 to HArram Jackson FULLEN,(aka Jack FULLEN). I live in a small town and have very limited access to info.
