Alma Cemetery

Ellis County, Texas

Inventoried by Jean Caddel

To reach the cemetery take I-45 south from Ennis to Alma Exit, right .6 mile on FM 1183 to cemetery sign on right. Cemetery is .3 miles further on Cemetery road. There is a double gate which may be closed but is not locked. Enter the gate, take dirt trail .2 to cemetery - which is passable by car. Please close gate when leaving. The cemetery is enclosed by a chain link fence but is not kept mowed, and I was not able to locate all stones . Some are probably hidden in the grass, or may have disappeared. There have been fairly recent burials and perhaps someone will make an effort to restore and maintain this cemetery.
