County Line Sign Planned The Dallas Morning News Nov. 14, 1921 page 7   Special to  The News.  Ennis, Texas. Nov.  23.  The Chamber of Commerce organizations for both Ellis and Navarro counties are making  plans to hang a county line sign on Chamber Creek bridge for the benefit of travelers.  On entering Ellis County from the south the sign will read: "You are entering Ellis County, the greatest cotton-producing county in Texas and the world.  It ranks second among Texas counties and thirty-ninth among the United States counties in combined value of croups and live stock products.  The first city you come to is Ennis situated in the  very heart of this  wonderful county."   Copyright © 2008-2017, Ellis County TXGenWeb.
