Obituary J. W. Caldwell   The Dallas Morning News Oct. 16, 1917, page 8 Special to the News. Waxahachie, Tex. Oct. 16, J. W. Caldwell, 77, died at his home here today.  A native of Mississippi, Mr. Caldwell served during the Civil War in Company G. Mississippi Cavalry.  He was a member of Winnie David UCV Camp.  He moved to Texas 25 years ago and farmed in Dallas and Ellis counties. Survivors include his wife and four sons, J. W. Jr., J. D. and A. B. Caldwell of Dallas and T. E. Caldwell of Mesquite; sister, Mrs. F. E. Pitts of Miss., and a brother, M. Y. Caldwell of Florida. Copyright © 2008-2018, Ellis County TXGenWeb.
