Obituary John S. Groce Contributed by Jane Bell Smith   From Dallas Morning News Feb. 11, 1907 John Sheppard Groce, prominent in business and insurance circles, died yesterday of a stroke. He was born in Talladega Co. Ala., and prior to moving to Dallas, did newspaper work in Sa n francisco.  He is survived by his widow, daughter, Margery, small son and three brothers, R. L. Grove, Victoria, Col. J T. Groce, Glveston and George C. Groce, Waxahachie.  He will be buried Tuesday in Oakland Cemetery in Dallas.   Copyright © 2005-2016, Ellis County TXGenWeb.
