| NOTES: Egbert Benjamin Beall moved to Texas in 1850. He is the son of Josias B. Beall of Georgia, who fought with the Texans at Goliad and was among those killed upon Gen. Santa Anna's order after Fannin surrendered and they gave up their arms. His young son came to Texas and claimed land that was granted to the survivers of those who fought for the Republic of Texas. The Beall family remained in Freestone Co. for three generations. |
