NOTES:
James I. Bonner was a medical doctor having attended Ersking College, graduated from the University of AL, and studied at the University of PA before graduating from the Medical College of Charleston.  He moved to Freestone Co., TX in 1853, operated a plantation, and served in the CSA. He was an early partner in the Stewards Mill Store and later practiced medicine in Fairfield.  He was a Mason.  Both James I. & Martha Bonner were charter members of Harmony Presbyterian Church at Stewards Mill.
