GLADYS EVANS

Funeral services were held Saturday in Fairfield for Gladys Evans, 83, of Fairfield who died Friday, December 18, 1992, at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Evans was born April 14, 1909, in Fairfield, and was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church.

Services were conducted at 11:00 AM at Capps Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Johnny Dammon officiating.

Special music, "What A Friend We Have In Jesus" and "How Great Thou Art", was provided by Sarah Childs.

Burial was in the Fairfield Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Maurice Burleson, David McLeod, Don McLeod, Roy Casey, Jr., Kenneth Turner, Trent Turner, and Donald Casey.

Mrs. Evans is survived by a daughter, Peggy Tedrow of Fairfield; two brothers, Alton Hughes and Finis Hughes, both of Fairfield; three sisters, Ruby Lee Missildine and Velma Casey, both of Fairfield, and Blanche Claridge of Fort Worth; three granddaughters, Tammy Ives of Palestine, and Terri Casey and Tracey Schlabra, both of Fairfield; and three great-grandchildren, Megan Casey, Amy Ann Casey and Thomas Schlabra, all of Fairfield.

Arrangements were made by Capps Memorial Chapel of Fairfield.
