1. Pete Tafolla--Santiago's son. Rode broncs with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show.

2. Santiago Tafolla, Sr.--Served as bugler with U.S. 2nd Cavalry, 1855-1860; was bugler with Confederate States of America, Texas 33rd Cavalry, 1863-64; Methodist preacher in Texas and Mexico, 1870-1911. Served San Pablo Methodist Church in Pearsall in 1901.

3. J.J. Mercado--Santiago's stepson

4. Santiago Tafolla, Jr.--Led fight for civil rights in San Antonio during the 1920's; helped organize and was a charter member of LULAC.

5. Ernesto Tafolla--Santiago's son. Became in preacher in the Houston area.

7. Mariano Tafolla--Santiago's son. Lived in the Poteet area.

8. Lott Tafolla--Santiago's son.

9. Gabriel Dimas Tafolla--Santiago's son. Taught English in Uvalde's Hispanic schools at the age of 17 before moving to Roma, Texas where he also taught school. He moved to Monterrey, Mexico to work as a bookkeeper for a lumber yard before 1900 but only remained a couple of years. He returned to the United States and became a farmer in Frio Town (Frio County), Texas before moving to Pearsall where he became an interpreter for the Frio County courts. He organized and presided over the Order of the Sons of America, a civil rights organization in Pearsall that later merged with another organization to form what is now known as the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). He died on January 1. 1945.
