Services for Melba June Cochran, 58, of Lewisville will be 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 1, 2008 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Post. Ivon Williams will officiate. Burial will follow at the Terrace Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Justice-Mason Funeral Home of Post. Melba died Monday, July 28, 2008 at her home in Lewisville.

Melba was born September 5, 1949 in Levelland to Paul Augusta and Geneva Jo (Rosenbaum) Foster. She attended school at Snyder, Post, Eden, and graduated from Cisco High School. She lived at Grapevine, Southlake, and then Lewisville. She worked for FEMA for several years and then later as a Data Entry Clerk. She was preceded in death by twin sisters, Linda May and Glenda Kay Foster; grandfather and grandmother, A.O. and Lois (Brown) Rosenbaum; her father, Paul A. Foster; and her mother, Geneva Jo (Rosenbaum) Foster. She was a life long Baptist.

Survivors include spouse, Danny Matthews of Lewisville; two sons, James Paul Cochran of Waycross, Ga.; and Charles 'Chuck' and wife Janessa Cochran of St. Mary's, Ga.; two daughters, Marshall and husband Jeremy Mays; and April and husband Rob Scifres, all of Aubrey, Tx.; two sisters, Diann and husband Herman Guthrie of Post; Paula Jo and husband Leslie Hair of Mineral Wells; eight grandchildren, Charlie, Cameron, Britny and Madeline Geneva Cochran, all of St. Mary's, Ga.; Robert Daniel Scifres, Kaitline, Harley and J.J. Mays, all of Aubrey; one uncle, Amos and wife Verlene Foster of Quitman; five aunts, Imogene Rosenbaum of Post; Ruby Tyler of Lubbock; Shirley Foster of Post; Grace Ainsworth of Snyder; Essie Shirley of Marlowe, Okla.; great-aunt, Beaulah White of Post; five nieces, two nephews, and numerous cousins; mother-in-law, Joyce Brown of Sanford, N.C.

Pallbearers are Leslie Hair, Jr., Royce Hardy, Jeremiah Gore, Nick Wooldridge, Rodney Guthrie and Tracy Morris. Memorials are suggested to the American National Cancer Association. Visitation was Thursday at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
