Grace Hill Cemetery's history dates back to Jan. 21, 1904, when W.G. Northcutt declared he would fence part of his farm on Grace Creek for a cemetery. According to a history of the property provided by City Secretery Lois McCaleb, Northcutt said it was a model site with a natural grove of trees and good drainage. Additional space was added in 1926.
