Eakin, Otho M Jr - 1st Lt Otho M Eakin Jr, husband of LaFaun E Bankhead Eakin, attended Gladewater HS and Kilgore College. Entered the Air Corps in 1939, commissioned at Ellington Field, Texas. Served in England, France, and North Africa, Canada, Greenland and Iceland. Holds the Air Medal; now on duty in France.
Earley, W B - Sgt W B Earley, son of Mr & Mrs W R earley, husband of Marie Scales Earley. Entered Air Corps in 1942, trained at Elgin Field, Fla, as a recreational director and now on duty there.
Easterling, Paul G - S/Sgt Paul G Easterling; husband of Lois Verner Easterling, entered the Air Corps in 1942, trained at Sheppard field, Texas, Santa Monica, Cal. and Atlantic City, NJ. Served in the Hawaiian Islands and still there with Recon. Sqdn. of the Seventh AAF.
Eberhardt, Lamar - Sgt Lamar Eberhardt, son of Mrs Kathleen Lamar Eberhardt, entered the 35th Div of the Army in 1943. Served in England, France, Belgium and Germany, now en route to the States. Holds Pres. Citation with Cluster, four Battle Stars and Expert Riflemans Badge.
 
Edge, E Wayne - 2nd Lt E Wayne Edge, son of Mr & Mrs W E Edge, husband of Della Mae Powell Edge, attended Gladewater HS. Entered the Air Corps in 1943, trained at Wichita Falls and Amarillo, Texas, Las Vegas, Nev., Wayne, Neb. and Santa Anna, Cal. Now on duty at Luke Field, Ariz.
Edge, Wallace E - S/Sgt Wallace E Edge, son of Mr & Mrs W E Edge, husband of Catherine Sturgis Edge, attended Gladewater HS. Entered the Army in 1942, trained at Camp Wolters, Texas, Aberdeen, Md, and Camp Cook. Served in Hawaii and the Gilbert Islands. Now on duty on Hawaii. Holds Battle Stars.
Elder, William A - Y 3/c William A Elder, son of Mr and Mrs W A Elder, husband of Janie Chevalier, attended Leverett's Chapel. Entered the Navy in 1944; trained at San Diego, cal. Served in Hawaii, and the South Pacific. Now on duty in the Marshalls.
Elkins, Jack L - Cpl Jack L Elkins, son of Mrs John Elkins and husband of Hazel Linder Elkins, attended Pine Tree HS. Entered the Army in 1943, trained at Camp Hood, Tex. Served in New Guinea, Australia, Admiralty Islands and the Philippines, where now on duty. Holds Good Conduct Medal and Pres. Citation.
Edward, John C - S/Sgt John C Edward, attended White Oak HS and Kilgore College, entered the Air Corps in 1944. Trained at Amarillo, Texas, Kingman, Ariz. and Avon Park, Fla. Has served at Ipswich, England. Has Air Medal with four OLC, Pres. Citation, and two Battle Stars.

Elliott, Henry M - S 2/c Henry M Elliott, son of Mr & Mrs R M Elliott, attended Pine Tree HS. Entered the Navy in 1944; trained at USNTC, San Diego, Cal. Has served in Australia, Saipan, Guam, Manus and Okinawa. Has the AP Ribbon with three Stars and AT Ribbon. Now on duty at Farragut, Idaho.

Entered the Army as Chaplain in 1942, trained at Pickett, Va, Camp Shelby, Miss. and Camp Gruber, Okla. Now on duty at Camp Maxey, Texas.
Ellis, Eugene - 1st Lt Eugene Ellis, son of Mr & Mrs J R Ellis of White Oak, and husband of Jean Thomas of Chicago, attended White Oak HS, Kilgore College, and ETSTC. Entered Air Corps in 1942; commissioned at New Haven, Conn. and has since been stationed at Chanute Field, Ill.

Ellis, Jessie Ray - Sgt Jessie Ray Ellis, son of Mr & Mrs John Ellis of White Oak, graduated from White Oak HS. Entered the Air Corps in 1942 and trained at City Falls, Iowa and Tiny Paw, Nev. Stationed in England until he was killed in action over France, July 4, 1944. Awarded Air Medal and Purple Heart.

Erwin, Louis - F 1/c Louis Erwin, son of Mr & Mrs F C Erwin, and husband of Maribell Evans Erwin, entered the Navy in 1944; trained at San Diego, Calif. and Gulfport, Miss. Has served in the Admiralty Islands. Now discharged.
