	Eakin, Otho M Jr - 1st Lt Otho M Eakin Jr, husband of LaFaun E Bankhead Eakin, attended Gladewater HS and Kilgore College. Entered the Air Corps in 1939, commissioned at Ellington Field, Texas. Served in England, France, and North Africa, Canada, Greenland and Iceland. Holds the Air Medal; now on duty in France.
	Earley, W B - Sgt W B Earley, son of Mr & Mrs W R earley, husband of Marie Scales Earley. Entered Air Corps in 1942, trained at Elgin Field, Fla, as a recreational director and now on duty there.
	Easterling, Paul G - S/Sgt Paul G Easterling; husband of Lois Verner Easterling, entered the Air Corps in 1942, trained at Sheppard field, Texas, Santa Monica, Cal. and Atlantic City, NJ. Served in the Hawaiian Islands and still there with Recon. Sqdn. of the Seventh AAF.
	Eberhardt, Lamar - Sgt Lamar Eberhardt, son of Mrs Kathleen Lamar Eberhardt, entered the 35th Div of the Army in 1943. Served in England, France, Belgium and Germany, now en route to the States. Holds Pres. Citation with Cluster, four Battle Stars and Expert Riflemans Badge.
	Edge, E Wayne - 2nd Lt E Wayne Edge, son of Mr & Mrs W E Edge, husband of Della Mae Powell Edge, attended Gladewater HS. Entered the Air Corps in 1943, trained at Wichita Falls and Amarillo, Texas, Las Vegas, Nev., Wayne, Neb. and Santa Anna, Cal. Now on duty at Luke Field, Ariz.
	Edge, Wallace E - S/Sgt Wallace E Edge, son of Mr & Mrs W E Edge, husband of Catherine Sturgis Edge, attended Gladewater HS. Entered the Army in 1942, trained at Camp Wolters, Texas, Aberdeen, Md, and Camp Cook. Served in Hawaii and the Gilbert Islands. Now on duty on Hawaii. Holds Battle Stars.
	Elder, William A - Y 3/c William A Elder, son of Mr and Mrs W A Elder, husband of Janie Chevalier, attended Leverett's Chapel. Entered the Navy in 1944; trained at San Diego, cal. Served in Hawaii, and the South Pacific. Now on duty in the Marshalls.
	Elkins, Jack L - Cpl Jack L Elkins, son of Mrs John Elkins and husband of Hazel Linder Elkins, attended Pine Tree HS. Entered the Army in 1943, trained at Camp Hood, Tex. Served in New Guinea, Australia, Admiralty Islands and the Philippines, where now on duty. Holds Good Conduct Medal and Pres. Citation.
	Edward, John C - S/Sgt John C Edward, attended White Oak HS and Kilgore College, entered the Air Corps in 1944. Trained at Amarillo, Texas, Kingman, Ariz. and Avon Park, Fla. Has served at Ipswich, England. Has Air Medal with four OLC, Pres. Citation, and two Battle Stars.
	Edward, Robert M Jr - Lt Robert M Edward Jr, attended White Oak HS and Kilgore College, entered the Air Corps in 1943; trained in Texas, Tenn, Ala, Ga, Va, NJ, and Conn. Has served in England, Belgium, and Germany. Holds Air Medal with 5 OLC, Pres. Citation and 3 Battle Stars.
	Edwards, Ralph A - Pfc Ralph A Edwards, son of Mr & Mrs Ray Edwards; attended Kilgore College. Entered the Army Field Art. in 1943. Trained at Ft Sill, Okla. and Camp Campbell, Ky. Has served in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria and England. Has 2 Bronze Stars.
	Edwards, Roy D - Sgt Roy D Edwards, son of Mr & Mrs Ray Edwards; attended Longview HS and BMI. Entered the Air Corps in 1942; served in England and Scotland. Has 6 Bronze Stars and Unit Citation. Has trained in various places in the US.
	Elam, John K Jr - 1st Lt John K Elam Jr, son of Mrs John Elam, and husband of Jeane Poole Elam; attended Longview HS and Kilgore College. Entered the Air Corps in 1942; has served in England. DFC, ETO Ribbon with 4 Stars, Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters.
	Ellington, Charles E - Cpl Charles E Ellington, son of Mr & Mrs Pat Ellington, husband of Margie Shripps Ellington, attended Longview HS. Entered the Marines in 1941. Served with the Second Marines in the Asiatic Theater of War. Holds Pres. Citation and three Stars for major battles.
	Ellington, Ted N - SF 3/c Ted N Ellington, son of Mr & Mrs Pat Ellington; attended Longview HS. Entered the Navy in 1943; served in the AT of war and as T of War, at the liberation of the Phil. and Okinawa. Holds 5 Stars for major battles.
	Elliott, Henry M - S 2/c Henry M Elliott, son of Mr & Mrs R M Elliott, attended Pine Tree HS. Entered the Navy in 1944; trained at USNTC, San Diego, Cal. Has served in Australia, Saipan, Guam, Manus and Okinawa. Has the AP Ribbon with three Stars and AT Ribbon. Now on duty at Farragut, Idaho.
	Elliott, Nathan H - S/Sgt Nathan H Elliott, son of Mr & Mrs E Elliott and husband of Dana Rose Arnet Elliott, entered the Army in 1942; trained at Camp Adair, Camp White, Oregon and Ft Lewis, Washington. Has served in the South Pacific, the Philippines and Okinawa. Holds the Silver Star and Purple Heart.
	Ellis, Carlton B - Capt (Chap.) Carlton B Ellis, son of Dr & Mrs G E Ellis and husband of Eldean Hatchett Ellis, attended Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Seminary. Entered the Army as Chaplain in 1942, trained at Pickett, Va, Camp Shelby, Miss. and Camp Gruber, Okla. Now on duty at Camp Maxey, Texas.
	Ellis, Eugene - 1st Lt Eugene Ellis, son of Mr & Mrs J R Ellis of White Oak, and husband of Jean Thomas of Chicago, attended White Oak HS, Kilgore College, and ETSTC. Entered Air Corps in 1942; commissioned at New Haven, Conn. and has since been stationed at Chanute Field, Ill.
	Ellis, James E - Pfc James E Ellis, son of Mr & Mrs O L Ellis, graduate of Kilgore HS. Entered Army in July 1944, trained at Camp Roberts, Cal. Served in France, Belgium, and Germany. Now on duty at Ft Sam Houston
	Ellis, Jessie Ray - Sgt Jessie Ray Ellis, son of Mr & Mrs John Ellis of White Oak, graduated from White Oak HS. Entered the Air Corps in 1942 and trained at City Falls, Iowa and Tiny Paw, Nev. Stationed in England until he was killed in action over France, July 4, 1944. Awarded Air Medal and Purple Heart.
	Ellis, Roger - S 2/c Roger Ellis, husband of Nadyne Ellis, graduated from Kilgore HS. Entered the Navy Sept 1944, trained at San Diego, Cal. Served in India, Australia, Brazil, Africa, now on duty in England. Holds PTO, Asiatic Pacific and European Theater Ribbons.
	Emmel, Charlie P - COX Charlie P Emmel, son of Mr & Mrs C H Emmel and husband of Ruth Freeman Emmel, attended Judson HS. Entered the Navy in 1944, trained at San Diego, Cal. Has served in the South Pacific. Now on duty in the Philippines.
	Emmel, Clarence Lee - Cpl Clarence Lee Emmel, son of Mr & Mrs C H Emmel, attended Longview HS. Entered the Army in 1942, trained at Camp Robertson, Ark. Served in North Africa, Italy, and France, where now on duty.
	Emmel, Frank M - Pfc Frank M Emmel, son of Mr & Mrs C H Emmel, husband of Ivy Lea McVay Emmel. Entered the Air Corps in 1942, trained at Salt Lake City, Utah, Lincoln, Neb. and Camp Maxie, Texas. Has an Honorable Discharge.

	English, Everett D - Cpl Everett D English, son of Mrs Jessie English and husband of Cecil Williamson English, entered the Air Corps in 1942; trained at Sheppard Field, Texas. Went overseas Jan. 1943. Served in England. Awarded Pres. Citation.
	Epperson, James R - S 1/c James R Epperson, son of Mr & Mrs J R Epperson, entered Navy in 1942; trained at Great Lakes, Ill. Has been on patrol duty in Atlantic. Holds several Battle Stars. Now on duty in South Pacific, headed for Japan.
	Erwin, Louis - F 1/c Louis Erwin, son of Mr & Mrs F C Erwin, and husband of Maribell Evans Erwin, entered the Navy in 1944; trained at San Diego, Calif. and Gulfport, Miss. Has served in the Admiralty Islands. Now discharged.
	Erwin, William C - ARM 2/c William C Erwin, husband of Lela Belle Kimbrell Erwin and son of Mr & Mrs F C Erwin; attended Longview HS. Entered Naval Air Corps in 1943; trained at San Diego, has served in Cuba and Brazil. Holds Catepillar Award. Now on duty in Memphis, Tenn.
	Ethridge, Clyde E - HA 1/c Clyde E Ethridge, son of Mr & Mrs W R Ethridge, entered the Naval Med. Corps in 1945. Trained at San Diego, Calif., where he is still continuing training.
	Ethridge, Victor R - HAS 1/c Victor R Ethridge, son of Mr & Mrs W R Ethridge, entered the Naval Dental Corps in 1943; trained at Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Texas, Farragut, Idaho and Bremington, Wash., where he is still on duty.
	Evans, Arnold L - S 1/c Arnold L Evans, son of Mr & Mrs V L Evans, and husband of Evelyn Sheppard Evans of Longview, attended Pine Tree HS. Entered the Navy in 1943. Trained Corpus Christi. Has served on a LCS in the South Pacific, where he is still on duty.
	Evans, Herman L - ARM 3/c Herman LO Evans, son of Mr H L Evans, entered the Naval Combat Air Crew in 1944 after taking his Pre-Med at Baylor Univ. in Waco, Texas. Trained in Fla, Tenn, and Texas. Now on duty at Corpus Christi, Texas.
	Evans, L D - Sgt L D Evans, son of Mr & Mrs L D Evans, attended Longview HS. Entered the Army in 1941, trained at Camp Wallace, Texas. Has served in Hawaii, Caroline Island, Leyte and Okinawa. Now on duty on the Ryukyus Island. Holds three Battle Stars, Good Conduct Medal and Expert Marksmans Badge.
	Evetts, Jess W - S 1/c Jess W Evetts, son of Mr & Mrs J W Evetts, attended Kilgore HS; entered Navy, March 12, 1944. Trained at San Diego, Calif. Served at Pearl Harbor. Now stationed at N Island, Calif.
