Mark Clark's "Blue Devil" 88th Div., 5th Army in North Italy, April 17, 1945. Awarded two Purple Hearts, Inf. Com. Badge and Bronze Star.

Purvis, John V - M/Sgt John V Purvis, son of Mr & Mrs J M Purvis, graduate of Kilgore HS. Entered Army Air Corps, September 1941. Served in France, England, Egypt, Russia and Iran. Now on duty in France.
