The Cannibals had it put all over them by the Sulphur Springs team at that place yeasterday, the first real drubbing the Cannibals have been up against in almost a month.  The score was 3 to 0, and hardly that, as the saying goes, however, the Cannibals managed to hit a few times, even if they didn't get anywhere. Another 
game will be played today, and the fans at home expect to hear a  different tale this evening and tomorrow 
when the last game of the series will be played.

C W Foster, President of the First National Bank, who underwent an operation for appendicitis in San Antonio several days ago, is recovering nicely and it is thought he will be able to return home within the next few days.

Mr & Mrs Jerry Turner and Mr & Mrs Pat Burrows motored to Sulphur Springs to witness the ball game.

Lost and Found:

Lost between Longview and Henderson, last Saturday, a 36 x 4 1/2 Goodyear All Weather tread cord tire and rim.  Return for reward to G A Bodenheim, Longview, Texas.

T B Stinchcomb and F T Rembert who have spent a month in Canada, are expected home today.

Mrs Dush Shaw, and daughter Parline, and Miss Elizabeth Andrews have returned from a visit to Mrs Shaw's mother, Mrs Julia Rule, of Shreveport.

Several days ago, Solomon Smith lost a fine watch, as he thought on the streets of Longview, and advertised it in the Daily Leader.  Two days later the watch was brought to the leader office, having been found by little Christine Tuttle 9 miles out on Route 6.  The watch was found in the road, and quite a distance from where Mr Smith thought he lost it.  Christine received a reward of $2.50.
