Adams, Thomas M. "Tom" Funeral services for Thomas M. "Tom" Adams, 74, of Elderville, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel, 1617 Judson Road, with the Rev. David Farmer officiating. Burial will be in Elderville Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. Adams passed away Saturday, April 1, 2006, in Longview. He was born August 5, 1931, in the Elderville community and had lived there since 1957. He was a member of the Centre Presbyterian Church at Elderville. He was a supervisor in the polyethylene plant on Shift 4 at Texas Eastman and retired after 33 years of service. He also served our country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Adams of Elderville; son, Steven Louis Adams of Longview; sister, Judy Adams Wendt and husband, Roy, of Longview. He is also survived by four brothers-in-law, Jim and Margaret Rogers of Sunset, Texas; Charles and Veida Rogers of Lake Towakni, Garry and Janie Rogers of Leonard, Texas, and Larry and Shuki Rogers of Fort Henry, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Nelda and R.E. Stulting of Frisco, Texas, and Joan and Robert Russell of Parker, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Mitchell and Beryl Adams. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6-8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Elderville Cemetery or Centre Presbyterian Church.
