Alford, Lee Lee Alford, 57, of Longview, died Thursday, November 23, 2006, at his residence. He was born in Gladewater on August 9, 1949 to Hilton and Mattie Lou Alford. Lee was a truck driver by trade. He was an avid hunter and loved fishing. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Patti Alford of Longview; son, Shon Alford of Dallas-Fort Worth; stepdaughter, Tammy Stanfill; grandchildren, Ann Marie Alford, Christian Alford and Lacy Stanfill; sisters, Jo Ann Hohrine and husband, James, of White Oak, and Betty Lindley and husband, Bill, of White Oak; his mother, Mattie Lou Alford; and mother-in-law, Deen Burns. His father, Hilton Alford, and his son, Sonny Lee, preceded him in death. The family will receive friends this afternoon from 4-6 at Lakeview Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Monday, November 27, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home. The Rev. Jay Van Zandt will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Kirkland, Loy Joe Tuttle, Jerry Blair, Steve Cambell, Byron Thompson and Billy League. Honorary pallbearers will be Shon Alford, Jack Walker, James Hohrine, Bill Lindley, Forrest Hohrine and Kirby Wagenseller. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Full military honors will be provided by VFW post 10373 of Jefferson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
