Wednesday January 30, 1924 E . P. Allison Dead At His Home Here Elmo P. Allison 55 years old, a pominent citizen of Longview, is dead at his home in South Green street. Death came last evening at 8 o'clock. Mr Allison had been in bad health for some time, during a portion of which time he was in a critical condition. Elmo P. Allison, local cotton buyer for Neil P. Anderson & Co., of Fort Worth, was born and reared in this county, and was a prominent resident of this city. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Longview. Members of the family are receiving the sincerest sympathy of the entire community over the death of their father and husband. Mr Allison is survived by his widow and one daughter, Miss Zoe Allison, a student at the Southwest Texas Normal, and three sons, J. N. Allison, Preston Allison and Donoaghey Allison, all of Longview and prominently socially. Preston Allison is former commander of the local post of the American Legion. Funeral will be held tomorrow from the family residence on South Green street at 10 o'clock, with burial in Grace Hill cemetery. The Rev. Robert M. hal, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will conduct the funeral service.
