Ater, Wendy Wendy Ater, 40, of Longview, died Saturday, June 10, 2006 at her Longview residence. She was born July 20, 1965, in Longview, to Franklin and Bobbie Walker. Wendy loved life, her children, Justin and Ashly and her large family of friends. She touched lives everywhere she went and showed everyone how to fight to live life to its fullest. Survivors include her father, Franklin Walker and his wife, Gerri, of Hillsboro; her mother, Bobbie Muncie and her husband, Jerry, of Longview; children, Justin and Ashly Juarez of Longview; the father of her children, Jerry Juarez; sisters, Rhonda Poteet of Tulsa, Oklahoma, April Smith and husband, Scott, of Arkansas, and Renee Clark of White Oak; nieces, Sara Poteet, Amber and Tuesday Walker, Kim, Stephanie, Lauren, Jennifer and Jessica McNew, and Monica and Regina Gonzales; nephews, Brandon Poteet, Westley Walker, Cole Smith, Dillon Clark, Jeremy Upright, Joseph Poteet and Arnold Gonzales; great-nephew, Jordan Patterson; special friends, Pam Cockerham and Michelle Wylie. Wendy will also be missed by a host of special friends, hospice workers, doctors, nurses and others whose lives and hearts she has touched. She was preceded in death by grandparents, Troy and Ora Barefield; and brother, Michael Walker. The family will receive friends this evening beginning at 5 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Woodland Christian Church. Pastors Paul and Lisa Klauss will officiate. Pallbearers will be Andy Parker, Sean Lujan, Corey Clanton, Buddy Anderson, Pat Owens, Billy Hodge, Kolby Beckham and Michael Wylie. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
