Adair, Jerry Don Jerry Don Adair passed away November 21, 2007, with his family at his side. Jerry was born January 14, 1946, in Hugo, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Nancy; their children, Ryan and Sandra Adair and Robyn and Kyle Eckermann; and his newborn grandson, Austin Dair Eckermann. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jack and Merle Adair of Fort Worth, Texas. Jerry served the community of East Texas for 21 years as the president and CEO of Good Shepherd Health System. He was passionately committed to providing the best possible health care to the entire community. At the same time, no man was ever more dedicated to and loved and respected by his family. A special thanks is extended by the family to the Good Shepherd Family and Good Shepherd Auxiliary for all of their prayers, love and support. Services to celebrate the life of Jerry Don Adair will be at First United Methodist Church in Longview beginning at noon Monday, November 26, 2007, with the Rev. Dr. Michael Macey officiating. Arrangements are by Rader Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2007, at Rader Funeral Home. The Institute for Healthy Living, scheduled to open in 2008, is a significant part of Jerry's legacy. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory to the Institute for Healthy Living.
